Responsible for coordinating, planning and conducting the annual IPA Convention and Exhibition.
The first priority is to select a satisfactory date for the meeting. The dates have to be arranged so that the IPA meeting does not conflict with any other major petroleum industry meeting, or a holiday or the month of Ramadan.
Monthly meetings are held to review all sub-committee assignments and responsibilities, the projection for attendance, potential keynote speakers and general session speakers. At the initial meeting the committees discuss anticipated expenses based on projected attendance so that a preliminary budget can be prepared and submitted to the IPA board of Director.
Usually the monthly meeting is held on the week prior the week the IPA board meets.
