Helping build a vital industry for a better Indonesia.
The Indonesian Petroleum Industry (IPA) was founded in 1971 to bring the key players in the upstream oil and gas industries together to promote partnership, and communication within an industry that plays a vital role in Indonesia's national development.
Through its 49 Company Members, the IPA represents around 90% of oil and gas exploration and production in Indonesia. There are also 94 Associate Members who are organizations active in the petroleum and geothermal industries in Indonesia, including service companies, legal and accounting firms, as well as educational institutions.
The IPA provides a forum for members and new investors to exchange news, views, concerns and ideas about the industry. It is also a forum to facilitate dialogue and communication between the industry and the Government of Indonesia, with its agencies such as MIGAS and BPMIGAS. The IPA also promotes education and knowledge transfer within the industry and with the wider community.
