The 34th Annual IPA Convention & Exhibition 2010 has come to an end on Thursday, May 20, 2010. This most awaited and prestigious annual event of the Indonesian oil and gas industry was held in Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta and has drawn interest of 3377 convention participants, 138 Booth Exhibitors which comprise oil and gas companies operating in Indonesia, service companies and many others.

Carrying the theme “Investing Together for Future Growth“, the event was opened by H.E Vice President Boediono who conveyed in his speech government’s understanding of the need to attract investment and determination to support the industry in addressing their issues. The government also recognizes that there needs to be greater coordination at the highest levels between all departments and there is a changing paradigm from revenue generation from exports to prioritizing domestic requirements and that both play a vital role and both can be achieved.

Fourteen (14) Production Sharing Contracts (PSC) and 8 Gas Sales Contracts (GSA) have been signed and 18 New Work Acreages has been announced during the opening and closing ceremony of the 34th IPA Convention & Exhibition (Convex).

In this year Convex, we have been greatly honoured to have the presence of H.E Vice President Boediono to open the convention as mentioned earlier, His Excellency the Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources Darwin Z. Saleh at both the opening and closing ceremony as well as the Gala Dinner, the presence of the State Minister for the Environment Gusti M. Hatta, Vice Minister of Transportation  Bambang Susantono for the plenary and special session as well as Members of Parliament and numerous other distinguished panellists as well of course to our own Directorate General Oil and Gas Evita Legowo and BPMIGAS Chairman R. Priyono throughout the events. We are truly honoured by their participation.
