EOR development in Central Sumatra: a critical path approach

The development of an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project for P.T. Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI) currently takes approximately 8 years from project conception to injection start up. Several key processes involving coordination between multiple disciplines contribute to this critical path:- Screening and Ranking- Reservoir Characterization- Reservoir Modeling- Data Collection- Project Design and Material ProcurementThis paper reviews these key processes and discusses ongoing efforts to streamline the process.
