Proceedings Title : Proc. Indon. Petrol. Assoc., 49th Ann. Conv., 2025

Harbour Energy has actively executed Community Investment (CI) programs in Aceh since the Production Sharing Contract for Andaman II Block was signed in 2018. Despite still being in the exploration stage, Harbour Energy has exhibited formidable commitment through 27 CI programs over five years. The region faced challenges in areas which requires support to improve their quality of life. Harbour Energy's CI programs focus on sectors in alignment with 'Giving Aims', their policy on social investment contributions. In education, Harbour Energy has provided scholarships, trainings, and improvements of educational infrastructure. These include training programs for undergraduates in partnership with Migas Center of Malikussaleh University from 2021 to 2023. In 2024, Harbour Energy equipped 29 schools with internet facilities and continued its undergraduate scholarship program. To date, 43 alumnus from nine universities have benefited from this program. Construction of library in Tingkeum Village was also handed over, which in the brief period since it was established has significantly benefited local youth. Harbour Energy has also prioritized healthcare support, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic, by facilitating vaccinations and supplying medical equipment to health centers in North Aceh. Recently, Harbour Energy launched a Fuel-Free Water Network program in Jeulikat and Meunasah Cut villages, with completion projected by year-end. Environmental stewardship is integral to Harbour Energy’s CI efforts, exemplified by several environmental conservation programs, such as the planting of 2,000 mangroves along Puuk Village’s coast in 2024. Additionally, Harbour Energy has strengthened communities through capacity building. To strengthen fishermen, the construction of fishermen’s halls and provision of communication radios in Lhokseumawe and Bireuen were conducted in 2022 and 2023. Through these initiatives, Harbour Energy has made significant contributions to the development of communities in Aceh. Their commitment to social responsibility has had a positive impact on the region's social, economic, and environmental well-being.
