DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKA formation analysis program saves time analyzing well logs. The Digital Logging System (DLS*), on site, uses the program interactively to prepare the logging data for analysis. The information can be plotted in a quick-look format to help in making fast decisions about well completion and perforation interval. The subject of this paper is the discussion in detail of the wellsite interpretation program, flow charts, equations and important constants and parameters selection.APPLICATIONThe field log analysis program applies to several field examples from the Miocene Reef formation in Irian Jaya.RESULTS, CONCLUSIONS and GENERAL OBSERVATIONSWellsite analysis is important for making quick decisions, especially in remote field locations as in Indonesia.
