2016 WORK PROGRAM
1. Professional Division Membership
- Continue to improved individual membership numbers:
- Opportunities remain to increase membership through better coordination with IPA Convention event organizer;
- Increasing regular membership fee from IDR 200,000.- to IDR 250,000.- and continue to promote life memberships;
- Provide more incentive for membership by increasing fees :
- Discount on courses, field trips and convention for members by 10-15%
- Free access to all IPA publications.
- Re-energize Sumatra and Kalimantan chapters activities
2. Activities
- 9 Short Courses (includes Pre Convention, Pre and Post Technical Symposium). Maintain focus on Geosciences courses with two additional courses corporate communication ;
- 2 Luncheon Talks are planned
- Educational Field Trips will be considered and possibly planned later in the year.
- Student Activities : Continue support academic lecturer attend IPA technical courses, conduct student lecture on core/petrophysics, seismic interpretation and rig visit. Increase funding to enhance span and quality.
- WEB site and Newsletter : Exclusive Professional Division Newsletter new tab within the IPA website which will include technical content and articles relevant to petroleum industry in Indonesia and Professional division activities.
New “IPA newsletter” (not published since2013) will be issued “on-line” and published through the IPA home page on quarterly basis, to promote members’ desire to write and share their experience and knowledge.
