SUMMARY

The aim of every company is to make money. Every dry hole, sub-commercial discovery, or poorly developed field negatively impacts a company’s profitability. This ½ day course highlights the principal causes of dry holes and sub-commercial well and developments, and will discuss how to address those causes in order to improve profitability.

COURSE DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

The course will examine the three most common interpretation mistakes and errors that significantly impact profitability: incorrect well correlations, incorrect structure maps, and geometrically impossible reservoir maps and geomodels. The objective is to learn how to recognize and to correct the bad interpretations that lead to bad investments.
